Tie vie hiukan haikein mielin kohti Helsinkiä, aika hypätä 10 kuukauden jälkeen pois Berliinin pesu- ja linkousohjelmasta.
Jaoin aiemmin noita hlökohtaisia ilon hetkiä, mutta — ehkä hiukan odotetustikin — Berliini kutsuu myös öisin. Oli uskomattoman hienoa päästä soittamaan yksiä unohtumattomimmista keikoista viimeisen 30 vuoden ajalta ja ruksata monta juttua pois bucket-listiltä.
Mutta — isoin asia mulle oli löytää taas tanssilattiat sinä samana musadiggarina mitä mä olin joskus 90-luvulla. Ilman tyhmiä velvollisuuksia — tai tarvetta suorittaa yötä läpi jonain työvuorona tai keikka edellä. Tää oli ihan uskomattoman vapauttavaa — hävitä vaan joukkoon ihmisiä ja olla sitä osa kollektiivista yhdessäolon tunnetta.
Tää on vähän ehkä naiivia nelikymppisen suusta, mutta siinä missä itsensä voi kadottaa mihin tahansa työhön niin kyllä sitä kykyä vain _olla_ siellä klubilla sai näiden yötyövuosien jälkeen tovin hakea. Ja nyt niitä yhteisiä hetkiä en sit vaihtaisi mihinkään.
Ehkä just nää kokemukset oli se, miksi mä olin myös sitten soittohommissa näiden kuukausien aikana niin onnellinen. Tästä muutamat niistä hetkistä.

🇬🇧 Heading back to Helsinki with a bittersweet feeling—time to step off the 10-month wash-and-spin cycle called Berlin.
I already shared some personal milestones, but—as expected—Berlin called at night, too. It was incredible to play some of the most unforgettable gigs of my 30-year career and tick things off the bucket list.
But the biggest thing was finding my way back to the dancefloor as that same original music enthusiast I was back in the 90s. No stupid expectations, no treating the night like a to-do work shift.
It was liberating to just melt into the crowd and simply be a part of that collective feeling of togetherness.
It might sound naive coming from someone my age, but just as you can lose yourself in any career, the ability to simply _be_ at a club took a while to rediscover after all these years of nightlife work. Now, I wouldn't trade those shared moments for anything.
Maybe these exact experiences are why I was so happy behind the decks these past months, too. Here are a few moments from the ride.

Totally fertig but happy. ❤️ This morning, 5–7 AM, was the last time behind the decks of my 10-month stay in Berlin.
And boy, did ://about blank deliver! Playing the closing set after excellent beats from Mattone was bliss; the crowd was super energetic and the floor packed — what's there not to like? 🙂 Thank you, Maria & Rodrigo, for the invite, and the whole DIFFUSE REALITY crew for the excellent party and hospitality. 🥂

Mä olen vuosien aikana katsonut vahvasti ylöspäin YleX:n lauantain alkuillan tekijöihin, jotka tekevät radiosta vaarallista yhä kaikkien vuosien jälkeenkin.
